Calling our tiniest actors! We are gearing up for an exciting Fall semester at SABA and some of our favorite little actors are ages 3-5!! We are heading into the Imagination Station at SABA with KINDERDRAMA! All you need is a big imagination and energy as students dive into stories each week and make them come to life in the classrooms! Through interactive stories, goofy games, and freeze dances, our little drama queens and kings will keep building those social skills, boost self confidence, learn to express those big emotions, and most importantly be creative! This class will be held on Tuesdays from 5pm-5:45pm for students ages 3-5. Registration opens later this week and classes start on September 28th and run for 6 weeks. Tuition is $125 per student. We are excited to announce that this semester, Miss Hannah Olson will be teaching our Centerstage Class! Miss Hannah is an alumni at SABA and currently a Pre K3 teacher at Southland Baptist CDC and a Psychology Major at Angelo State University. Not only is Miss Hannah extremely talented both as an actress and vocalist, having danced and sung her way across the stage multiple times in SABA Productions, but she was a camp theatre educator and teacher with SABA for many years leading workshops, classes, assisting in music and so much more! She has the biggest heart for our tiniest actors and we can’t wait for her to share her passion in all things theatre with us!

Mondays 5:15–6:15pm · with Hannah Olson

CENTERSTAGE: YOUNG ACTORS WORKSPACE If you have a child age 6-9 who love to be creative and act out scenes in your living room, or have a giant energy and personality perfect for the stage? Well come hang out with the SABA gang and our Young Actors Workspace: Centerstage! Students explore the beginning fundamentals of theatre and acting! From silly improv, mini scenes, and some hilarious dramatic moments, students gain the foundational acting fundamentals to keep in their actors toolbox for the next big adventure! Students build confidence, creativity, and teamwork in this exciting SABA acting class! This class will be held on Mondays from 5:15pm-6:15pm for students ages 6-9. Registration will open at the end of the week and classes fun for 6 weeks. Tuition is $150 per student. Thursdays 5:30–6:30pm · with Angela Shanks

Angela Shanks is back in the classroom this Fall with SABA acting classes! Don't miss out on this new Intermediate Acting class on Thursdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm for students ages 10-13! Students will be leveling up their dramatic skills each week as we peel back the layers on characters, ask the important questions about the material, life until we cry with spontaneous scenes, and so much more! Angela Shanks, founding Executive Director of SABA is so excited to jump back into the theatre classroom! Not only has Ms Angela been directing shows for over 25 years but she has been educating youth in the world of theatrics for 30 years! Having developed curriculums for students ages 3-18 and being a partner in developing a musical theatre class curriculum at Texas Women's University, Ms Angela is ready to dive into her overflowing actors toolbox and share exciting and fun theatre and drama knowledge with her students! Classes start back Sept 28th with registration opening soon! Class size is limited to 25 students. This class is deisgned for students ages 10-13 and will be held on Thursdays from 5:30pm-6:30pm. Tuition for each student is $150 for 6 weeks. Get ready to sign up and have an amazing time in theatre classes at SABA!

Saturdays 10:00–11:00am · with Angela Shanks

Who doesn’t love donuts? Well what if we said we were combining donuts and theater?! Advanced acting students can join Angela Shanks on Saturday mornings from 10AM to 11AM for our Broadway Bound Cabaret class…AND DONUTS! In our Cabaret series, this special designed class will focus on exploring auditions that are a right fit for you, choosing material, working material, slating, learning how to read the room, and special access to casting companies where students can start submitting for projects NOW in the world of TV, Film, Commercials, and Theatre. Each student will film an audition submission in class. Join SABA Executive Director Angela Shanks in this face paced class and unique class. With over 40 years of performing in theatre, film and commercials, Ms Angela has had the privilege of working with casting agents and directors from around the country, and educating and working with students who want to put the work in to "get the job". Angela holds an MFA in theatre from Texas Women's University and is a graduate of the New York Film Academy and American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. She has privately coached students who are now working professionally across the country in theatre, dance, film, and more. She is ready to kick the theatre room into full drive on Saturday mornings...with donuts of course..and propel her students in their journey of performing arts. This class is designed for advanced actors ages 13-18 and will be held on Saturdays from 10am-11am for 6 weeks. Cost of the class is $150 per student and is limited to 20 students.
