How payment works

  • Tuition is posted to your parent portal by the end of the previous month, or the first of the current month.
  • Payments are due by the 1st, with a ten-day grace period. After the 10th, a $10 late fee applies.
  • We accept check, credit or debit card, and auto-pay. Please, no cash.
  • Pay through the parent portal, at the front desk during office hours, or in the payment box any time.
  • Returned checks carry a $35 fee and may attract late fees too.
  • Overdue accounts must be settled in full before costumes are released.

If money is tight

Financial circumstances change, and we would far rather work with you than lose a student. Talk to the director about a payment plan or a different payment date. A limited number of scholarships are available — ask at sabaworkshops@gmail.com.

Withdrawals

You can withdraw from any class with two weeks' notice by phone, email, or in person. Tuition adjusts from the 1st of the following month. We keep a rolling waiting list, so early notice genuinely helps another family.

Refunds & holds

There are no refunds for missed or canceled classes, and registration, costume, and competition fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Accounts can't be paused for holidays — but a student out more than two weeks for medical reasons or a family emergency can be placed on medical hold and not charged until they return. Contact the studio; without that conversation, billing continues.

Season calendar

The studio runs a nine-month calendar, excluding half of August, December, January, and May, and follows the San Angelo ISD calendar for holidays unless we say otherwise.

Weather & cancellations

In severe weather we consult SAISD and the media. If conditions make it unsafe, we'll notify families through the parent portal by email and text as early as we can. If a teacher is ill and no substitute is available, a make-up class is scheduled around teacher and studio availability — tuition isn't credited or refunded for those.

In the building

  1. Practice kindness and respect — parents and students alike. SABA works because people make it a welcoming place.
  2. All dancers observe the dress code.
  3. Closed-door policy: parents and guests aren't in the studio during class. It distracts younger dancers and many are uncomfortable being watched. Viewing happens during designated viewing weeks; special requests go to the director.
  4. SABA is a nut-free building.
  5. Anything left behind goes straight to lost property. Whatever's still there at the end of the year is donated to Goodwill.
  6. Keep the volume reasonable in the lobby, tidy up after yourselves, and treat studio property well.
  7. No food or drink except water bottles in the dance studios. Dance shoes are never worn outside — not even from the car.
  8. Neither lobby is supervised. Please be on time for pick-up, or call ahead if you'll be late.
  9. Phones stay out of the dance space — leave them and other valuables in bags.
  10. Bring water.
  11. Students in Early Childhood classes must be potty trained.

Illness

Please keep your child home if they're running a fever of 100, have stomach or gastrointestinal trouble, chills or body aches, respiratory distress, or anything bacterial or viral — until they've been fever-free for 24 hours, or on antibiotics for at least 48.

Drop-off & pick-up
