Amy Leon

Ballet Director

Amy began her formal ballet training in Dallas under Ceyhun Ozsoy, former Ballet Master of the Ankara National Ballet Company. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Belhaven University with a BFA in Dance, twice receiving the Bezalel Award for artistic achievement. She danced with Collin County Ballet Theater — performing Swanhilda in Coppélia — and with Ballet Nouveau Colorado as Snow Queen and Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker, and has guested with Boulder Ballet, San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet, and California Ballet Opera in Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty, and The Nutcracker. She has taught for over 18 years across creative movement, ballet, pointe, character, tap, jazz, conditioning, and ballet history — students from six-week-old babies to pre-professionals headed for college and trainee programs.

Braden Jowers

Braden Jowers is a national award-winning choreographer and instructor at San Angelo Broadway Academy. Mr Jowers began his dance training at the age of 11 with hip hop classes at San Angelo Broadway Academy. After a few years on the competition team, he began training in ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary. In 2017, he was awarded a half scholarship by Chehon Wespi-Tschopp to the IAMForce winter intensive 2017 in Los Angeles, California, where he then earned a full scholarship to the IAMForce summer intensive 2018. After being accepted to both UNCSA and UNT dance programs, Braden chose to stay close to family and attend UNT to major in Dance. After his freshman year he was selected along with 29 other dancers to attend the prestigious Hubbard Street Dance Company Summer Intensive 2019 in Chicago, Illinois. Throughout his career he has trained and performed with many top choreographers and companies across the nation. Braden moved back home to marry the love of his life, Lynden Jowers, and in 2024 welcomed their young son Baylor. Braden not only shares his passion for dance with his students each week, but performs alongside many of them with Ballet San Angelo's Nutcracker and as a pro dancer in West Texas Rehab's Dancing with the Stars.

Kambry Morales

Miss Morales is an award-winning choreographer and dancer. As a San Angelo Broadway Academy alumna, Miss Morales spent many years not only dancing, but competing with Continuum Dance Company, winning numerous regional and national awards. During her time at SABA, she performed in countless stage productions, and had the privilege of co-directing Steel Magnolias. Miss Morales not only teaches recreational dance classes, but trains members of Continuum Dance Company in hip hop and contemporary, encouraging them to tell a story with movement. Immersing herself in the arts, Kambry has also been seen behind the scenes during productions as backstage manager, spot operator, and hair and make-up guru. Having recently studied abroad in Europe, Miss Morales is a junior at Angelo State University.

Britain Hebert

A SABA alumna, Britain has danced for ten years across ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, and pointe, and competed for eight — earning countless regional and national titles including numerous awards for outstanding tap solos. She also spent twelve years singing and dancing on San Angelo stages. She is a freshman at Angelo State in the Pre-Med program, majoring in Biology, and dances on the ASU Angelettes. She teaches early childhood dance and an adult tap class for anyone ready to put some metal to the floor.

Makayla Nunn

A recent SABA and Continuum alumna, Makayla has spent thirteen years here growing a passion for dance and theatre. Her favorite stage roles include Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray, Rusty in Footloose, and Sally Brown in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. In seven years with Continuum she earned numerous awards alongside her teammates, and the iDance4aCURE foundation's Heart of Gold award at the 8 National Talent dance competition. She begins at Angelo State University in fall 2026 as a Psychology major, headed toward work as a forensic psychologist in New York. SABA taught her how exciting and rewarding being involved in the arts is, and she teaches young performers to appreciate the art they are capable of making with their own bodies — and to grow their confidence along the way.

Stryder Hicks

A Continuum alumnus, Stryder comes to acro from both dance and competitive cheer. He cheered on the Co-Ed Competition Cheer Team at Texas State University, and has spent five years coaching Levels 1–5 tumbling for all-star cheer programs and choreographing competitive cheer routines. For the past four years he has traveled the country working with dance competitions and companies — among them 8 National Talent, Dupree Dance, Gravit8 Dance, and Apex Mafia — alongside dancers, instructors, and choreographers from across the country, and comes back with what he learns about technique, performance, and athlete development. He teaches strength, confidence, flexibility, and proper acrobatic technique, in a room that stays positive and encouraging.

Sarah Dunlap

Assistant Artistic Director

Sarah started singing and dancing at five, from a family full of performers. She trained at SABA for years, learning from Broadway professionals including Sierra Boggess, Ethan Slater, and Laura Bell Bundy. She is now resident stage manager and assistant director for SABA's main-stage production. She has also served as director on shows such as Little Women, Finding Nemo Jr., Play On, and You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. She has taught multi-genre acting for ages 3 to 18 and individual coaching. She originated San Angelo's cabaret series, creatively building an educational component for advanced actors. An actress of over twelve years across commercials, short films, and the stage, her favourite credits include Laurey in Oklahoma, Sophie in Mamma Mia, Betty in White Christmas, and Katherine in Newsies.

Jessica Olson

Music Director

Jessica has 36 years of experience in instrumental and vocal music and has performed with choral ensembles across the country and overseas, in everything from musicals and jazz to classical and worship. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Angelo State University, previously studying voice with Dr. Cloyce Kuhnert at West Texas A&M, and teaches at Central High School. Alongside voice students at SABA, she serves as music director for the summer camp programs.

Pamela O'Donnell

Pam has over 40 years teaching private voice and 35 years in public schools. She holds a Bachelor of Vocal Performance and a Masters in Music Education, with K-12 music certification. In schools she directed musicals and operettas and prepared students for vocal and ensemble competitions; she has directed children's choirs in churches and at state level, and taught children's choir teacher workshops for over 40 years across Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, New Mexico, Washington, and Texas. Since retiring in 2018 she has continued substitute teaching and leading group choir classes.

Nathan Miller

Nathan's love of music started at twelve. He has played piano for ten years and won accolades in San Angelo and at the Texas Music Teacher Association competition in Waco. Well-versed in classical, Christian, and contemporary repertoire, he holds a special place for musical theatre. Nathan holds a BS in Music Education from Angelo State University and currently teaches choir at Lone Star Middle School. He has been part of SABA since he was fifteen, performing in The Addams Family, The Music Man, Matilda, and Phantom of the Opera — and returns now as a teacher.

David Padgett

A classically trained pianist who has been playing since he was four. David is a sophomore Music Education major with a piano concentration at Angelo State University. In high school he was All-State 1st Chair Jazz Pianist for the Texas Small Schools Band Association, playing with the All-State Jazz Band at the TMEA Conference in San Antonio. Raised on a ranch near San Antonio, he intends to continue to a Doctorate in piano performance and pedagogy. He finds teaching rewarding for watching students grow in both skill and confidence.

Claire Rumery

Claire has taught music for nine years, most recently at NATO's S.H.A.P.E. American High School in Belgium, and previously leading the choir program at Windsor High School in Colorado. Her passion for musical theatre started young and has only grown, with roles including Daphne in Fly by Night, Sandy Cheeks in The SpongeBob Musical, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, and Dragon and Gingy in Shrek, alongside operas performed around England and Belgium. Outside teaching she travels, plays tennis, and snuggles her cat, Iris.

Addyson Sonnenberg

Addy is a 12 year SABA alumni starring in lead roles such as Mary Poppins and Cinderella. She was the 1st alternate for the 2026 All-State Choir for TEA and is excited to attend Angelo State University this fall to pursue a degree in Music Education. Addy is the recipient of the Etude de Capo Choral Excellence scholarship and hopes to one day have a doctorate and teach college students how to love music. Addy sings in multiple choirs including San Angelo Chorus, Grace Christian Church choir, and ASU choirs. She also student conducted Central High School Choir and was dance captain of CHS show choir, HarmoniCats. Addy has spent many years serving as a mentor to younger children at SABA in both music and theatre and is excited to join the SABA staff and teach students to love music as much as she does!
